We have free, confidential, and where possible anonymous sexual and reproductive health clinics at our Auckland, Wellington, and Christchurch branches, and needle exchange services at out Auckland and Tauranga branches. There are also counselors available at some of our community bases. We have information about being self employed as an independent contractor, as well as setting up your own business — which includes information about tax, brothel operators certificates, city council bylaws, and Ministry of Health signs.

It sets best practice guidelines for sex work businesses. It contains information about upholding rights and conditions, prevention of violence, hiring and contracting workers, privacy, workplace practices, alcohol and other drugs, as well as combating stigma.

You can view and download the Business ABC here, or contact us to obtain a poster of the Code, learn more about implementing it, or provide feedback for future amendments. If you need a work visa to be employed in New Zealand, you cannot legally come to this country and be a sex worker or brothel operator. If you hold a temporary visa, or if your permanent residency carries a special condition, you can be deported if you get caught working in the sex industry.
