Are there any Adult Only resorts in La Romana? Though it sounds strange, I find that 2nd best to an adults only resort is a resort that is particularly family friendly. The Dreams chain is that way, meaning that they offer lots of diversions and activities for children keeping them out of the way of the adults. You can also book Preferred Club which isn't exclusive of children, but there aren't so many families who book that accommodation.
The children who do sleep in those rooms don't tend to hang out by the dedicated Preferred Club pool since it's too quiet and lacking of activities which kids seem to prefer. They do have an adults only restaurant though my personal favourite , as well as the disco and casino limiting the entry of children. There has been a plan for an adults only hotel in Bayahibe for at least 4 years but signatures have held up the progress.
Maybe one day Thank you for responding. I have already stayed at Dreams when it was Sunscape and Iberostar Hacienda Dominicus when my kids were kids. I loved both resorts. But now I do prefer adult only even my kids, now in their 20's, prefer it when they travel with me. I believe I had read that an adult only resort was going to be opening, but then I never heard anything further.
PS My husband still says Iberostar Hacienda Dominicus is his favorite resort in the Carribbean and we have been to many. If you returned to Dreams LR now, you'd hardly recognize it! You see bits and pieces that are familiar from the past, but depending on when you were there when it was Sunscape, it's almost had a complete redo!
Thank you for your help. I really enjoyed the resort when it was Sunscape. Now that it is Dreams, is it really that much better? Caribbean waters like Hacienda Dominicus, I did go there 2 years ago flew into Santo Domingo , and then drove 2 hours, i did not like that. Had a great time but was with my 18 year old niece. Secrets is 15 minutes from airport, and there is no airport noise. Adults only, which was important to us, and all inclusive.
